Eastern Western Motor Group is one of Scotland's premier privately owned, independent, and family-owned automotive dealer networks. Founded in 1927 by John Brown out of a rented garage in Edinburgh, the company grew from its early roots with the Eastern Motor Company into a multi-franchise powerhouse selling luxury and volume brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Toyota, and Lexus across central Scotland. Under the long-term leadership of Douglas Brown, who took over in 1981, the group introduced landmark hubs like the Newbridge "Luxury Car Village" and their own Car Deal Warehouse brand. Following major regional expansions via the acquisitions of Grassicks and Barnetts Motor Group, as well as the recent integrations of Chery, Audi, and Skoda, the company has successfully scaled its footprint across Tayside, Fife, Stirling, and the Scottish Borders.
